PORTLAND MULTI-SITE POOL UPGRADES
PORTLAND, OREGON
After working with City of Portland to complete emergency repairs to Buckman Pool,
ORB Architects was selected to perform various upgrades to five other Portland pools: Matt
Dishman Community Center Pool, Mount Scott Community Center Pool, Southwest Community Center
Pool, Pier Pool, and Columbia Pool. ORB coordinated the scopes for all of the facilities
to be included in a single bid set.
Columbia, Southwest, Matt Dishman, and Mount Scott all underwent electrical upgrades and
received new UV treatment systems. In addition, there was replastering and tile work
necessary at Matt Dishman, while Mount Scott also received mechanical and pool system
upgrades.
Pier Pool experienced the most extensive update with renovation of the entry, lobby, and
restrooms; pool deck improvements; replacement of plumbing fixtures; lighting upgrades;
and asbestos removal.
